Rolling Acres Mall se construyó el 6 de agosto de 1975. En su punto máximo, contenía 140 tiendas. En un momento dado, el centro comercial fue pintado en tonos pastel y se lo llamó “The Plastic Palace”. Rolling Acres comenzó su declive en la década de 1990 y finalmente cerró en 2011. Ahora es un imán para el crimen y la contaminación.

Pete Burkeet es un artista que hace pinturas y videos que exploran los productos de las experiencias sociales mediadas, incluyendo el pensamiento mágico, el escapismo, la ansiedad y el abandono. Su trabajo ha exhibido internacionalmente con espectáculos en festivales, museos y galerías. Entre sus exhibiciones se incluyen CutOut Festival Mexico City, Milwaukee Underground Film Festival, London Experimental Film Festival y Plexus Projects en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Vive y trabaja en Columbus, Ohio.

Pete Burkeet is an artist who makes paintings and videos that explore the products of mediated social experiences including magical thinking, escapism, anxiety, and neglect. His work has exhibited internationally with shows at festivals, museums, and galleries. Past shows include CutOut Festival Mexico City, Milwaukee Underground Film Festival, London Experimental Film Festival, and Plexus Projects in Brooklyn, New York. He lives and works in Columbus, Ohio.
