Red is a BAFTA New Talent award winning short film written and directed by Scottish filmmaker Simone Smith. The film is an experimental psychological drama that focuses on the wounds of war and our desensitisation to it.
Simone Smith is a BAFTA award winning filmmaker and visual artist from Glasgow, Scotland. Her short films and music videos have screened across festivals, publications and TV, including Aesthetica, Underwire, Anthology Film Archives New York, MTV, NME and Channel 4. She is interested in making conceptual dramatic works that explore a range of themes including transformation, vulnerability, love, loss, and the challenges of becoming.
